Having a smooth application process is important to us! We are upfront with all program costs and provide a comprehensive screening phone call ensuring you know how the program works. We try and answer all your questions and then provide you with our expert travel materials that will prepare you for your next step. Our entire application process is outlined below for you to review.

Be aware that there are some dodgy companies out there that will try and pressure you into applying. Always read the T&C’s and beware of all the costs. If the costs aren’t listed on the companies website – we recommend walking away.

Step 1

Apply online:

To start your Japan working holiday adventure you will need to make the initial deposit of $295. That initial deposit guarantees your spot on the program!

Step 2

Pre screening interview:

We will be in touch within 2 working days after you apply to answer any questions you may have and to give you lots of information about the visa process, Japan and our employers!

Step 3

Visa application:

Having the Japan working holiday visa sorted before your interview is a great way to show the employers how committed you are to working for them. That is why we start the visa process right away! We will review the documents you need to submit to make sure there are no errors will and send you the guidelines to complete the visa application.

Step 4


Create your Japan Resume: We will give you a guideline & example to follow. Send it to us to review.

Step 5

Employer & Interviews:

We will send you the employer information and booking forms so you can select which employer and job you want to apply for.

Step 6

Full Payment:

The final payment of $700 is paid within 8 weeks of your initial deposit. If you need a payment plan – just ask us! Want to pay in full – no worries. We are here to help you make the move to Japan!

The total program fee is $995 (lowest program fees on the market!), but to get the ball rolling you only need to make the initial payment.

Step 7

Job Interviews:

You will Skype interview with your chosen employer. The Japanese employer will let you know within 2 weeks of the Skype interview whether you were successful in securing employment.

If you are not successful with that employer we can arrange a second interview with another employer of your choice.

Flights & Tours:

STA Travel is the preferred travel agency for Work USA, and we recommend you discuss your travel plans with the STA Travel Working Holidays Branch. They have great deals and offer flexible tickets to meet your US visa requirements. You can reach them on 1300 850 485 or [email protected].

You now must arrange for payment of your insurance as this is a visa requirement when travelling on the Working Holiday Visa Japan – we will make sure you have the coverage you need for all your working holiday needs!

Group Flight Departure:

You get to fly over with all your future co-workers. Japan here you come.
