Summer Camp USA Returning staff make more money!

Why? Because we are the only summer camp program that lets you keep all your wages. In other words, no agency fee will be taken out of your pay.

As a returning counselor you’ll be earning more than the standard first-timer rate. You are free to negotiate your pay with your Summer Camp and can receive a salary of up to US$2,200. 

Visa Fee: US$160

US Consulate Issuance fee: US$105

The SEVIS Fee of US$35 is included in your program fee, and a receipt for this will be provided with your DS-2019 Visa documentation.

Insurance

As part of working in the USA as a Summer Camp USA Counselor you must have an approved insurance policy. Our visa sponsor requires that everyone on our Returner program gets program insurance through us. A medical insurance policy is provided as a part of your program fee for the duration of your camp contract.  Should you require this to be extended to cover any post-camp travel on the grace period, this can be purchased for $100.  Contact us 03 9329 3866 to find out about insurance options and costs.

Proof of Funds

To be allowed to enter the USA on the J-1 visa for Summer Camp you must show proof of funds of US$300.

Proof of funds is a required amount of savings you will need to prove you can support yourself upon arrival.

As a Returner you are able to book your own flights to get to Camp.
