HOW MUCH DOES WORK AND TRAVEL JAPAN COST?

Moving country can be a confusing and daunting undertaking in and of itself, let along getting your head around what its going to cost you! At IEP we are upfront with all costs associated with a working holiday in Japan. We want to ensure there are no hidden fees or large deposits required. You will find that we offer some of the lowest program fees on the market – don’t pay more!

It’s also important to understand that not all of the costs below are paid at once. You can review our ‘How to Apply’ information that outlines when certain fees are paid.

Program Fee

Work and Travel Japan Program deposit: $295

Final program fee payment: $1100 – paid within 8 weeks of your initial deposit. If you need a payment plan – just ask us! Want to pay in full – no worries. We are here to help you make the move to Japan!

*The total program fee is $1395, but to get the ball rolling you only need to make an initial payment of $295!

Japan Working Holiday Visa Fee

The working holiday visa is FREE for Japan! We provide all the support and guidance to eliminate the chance of your visa being rejected or making an error on your application.

Proof of funds

Provide proof of sufficient funds to support initial stay in Japan – at least AU$2,500

Be travelling on a return/onward passage ticket, or have additional proof of funds to show you can purchase such a ticket (further AU$1,000)

Insurance

When you are overseas the smallest incident can end up costing a lot of money. IEP offers a comprehensive insurance policy with a highly reputable insurer that will cover you for the full duration of your working holiday. It is a visa requirement that you register for the National Health Insurance Scheme which will cover up to 70% of the cost for basic/simple medical treatment and will cost approximately 1500JPY per month.
